Career Summary
Twenty year career delivering business and technology innovation to firms in the Financial Services and Consulting Industries. Focus has been two fold. First, to dramatically reduce the firm’s overall spend in technology and operations by promoting the use of and implementing business process management and business process automation. Second, to maximize the effectiveness of the firm’s IT investment by aligning IT, including its organization, architecture, process and projects, with the strategy of the business unit as well as the firm.
Recent highlights include:
- Architected, designed and implemented new image based transaction processing systems for “Check 21″ and other “Image Exchange” initiatives resulting in staffing saves of over 65%, reducing real estate costs by 35% and reducing the volume of paper processing by 85%.
- Designed and implemented an improved bank back office system using Business Process Management tools. The resultant system allowed the firm to reduce staff by 60%, increase volume by over 200% (as a result of mergers) and improve customer satisfaction.
- Integrated key back office and IT systems for two major bank mergers. Systems included bank DDA systems, research back office systems, accounting systems and bank branch and teller systems.
- Managed conversion of very large (fifteen hundred users) mainframe application to UNIX, resulting in reduced IT charges and improved user and customer satisfaction.
